Davichi – Don’t Say Goodbye & Love Oh Love – Inkigayo

4 Sep

Power vocal duo, Davichi made their comeback on today’s Inkigayo performing two songs from their new release, Love Delight.

Love Oh Love is a very sweet ballad that is perfect the autumn months. The cold weather is starting to come and everyone wants to feel warm and happy inside with their loved ones – this is a song to listen to when it gets dark outside.

Don’t Say Goodbye is their lead single and is another beautiful ballad – however this one has more arrangement and production than the first performance. The girls really show off the powerful vocals on this song. Arguably they have some of the strongest vocals at the moment? Congratulations to Davichi for a successful comeback! Check out their performance here:

T-ara – Roly Poly Live on Inkigayo 31st July 2011

31 Jul

My favourite band !ever! is T-ara! Today they performed Roly Poly on Inkigayo =] Roly Poly is one of my favourite songs and is now number 8 for most plays on my iPod/computer! Not bad considering some of the songs also on there are really quite old… If you are interested in the number one most listened to song… it’s Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain! Anyways, check out T-ara’s awesome performance below – especially Soyeon’s cute glasses ^_^

2NE1 – I AM THE BEST – Live on Inkigayo @ 26 June 2011

27 Jun

2NE1 recently made their comeback with I AM THE BEST! A catchy new beat driven song that is completely different from Lonely. I loved Lonely, I thought it was a very different kind of song to the K-Pop norm. However, they’re back with a zesty new hit! What do you think? Do you think they will get chart crowns with I AM THE BEST? I think if they promote it for long enough they will – I know someone people were disappointed that they did not perform Lonely on many music stages so hopefully 2NE1 fans will have some more performances to look forward to!

Chae Yeon – Look Look Look @live on Inkigayo

26 Jul

Inkigayo is my favourite of the stage music shows so I was hotly anticipating Chae Yeon’s performance. She delivered! She gave her best performance yet, I think this was also helped by her very loud fans who cheered all the way through her performance! It must be really nice for CY nuna to know that she still has fans after such a long time in the industry and when many people prefer other singers or idol groups. CY hwaiting!

Soyeon (T-ara) – What Should We Finish? Live on Inkigayo

7 Jul

Soyeon unni continues her solo promotions for the Death Bell 2 OST song, What Should We Finish. For the past couple of performances she was joined on stage by bandmate and star of Death Bell 2, Jiyeon (Jiyeon is so talented!) but she returns to performing it by herself for Inkiayo’s performance. I thought she did amazingly well! Her singing here is great compared to the other performances and they were pretty awesome to begin with! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, all the idols seem to bring their A game when they perform on Inkigayo!

Soyeon (T-ara) – What Should We Finish? Live on Inkigayo

27 Jun

Oh Soyeon, how I love thee. My favourite member of T-ara continues to perform her solo OST for the much anticipated horror sequeal, Death Bell 2. Soyeon is definitely my favourite member of T-ara and also my favourite Korean singer. She has had such an interesting journey in the K-pop entertainment industry. From ex-SNSD trainee to T-ara lead vocalist and now to solo singer. Soyeon has always been my favourite from T-ara and ever since their debut, I’ve followed their career with feverent fanaticism. I think it’s being British, and that we like an underdog who works hard to achieve. T-ara had to struggle a long time to achieve popularity. And now Soyeon is hopefully getting recognition for her amazing vocal skills and talent. She has an amazing voice and I’m glad she’s getting to perform on live stages by herself. Not that I dislike the other members of T-ara, Eunjung and Hyomin are my other favourites, but Soyeon is <3

4Minute – HuH live on Inkigayo

23 May

4Minute are not my favourite girl group… in fact they might not even make my top 5. (Top 5 is something like 1 – T-ara, 2 – SNSD, 2 – Wonder Girls, 3 – 2NE1, 4 – Kara). I did however really like Muzik, but they don’t seem to have had a song I liked as much since then. I don’t think song goes anywhere – if you follow? Although I think most K-pop songs don’t have a huge finale to them, it’s just a simple chorus chorus repeat. I’m getting off track. I do like some of the arrangement of this song though – so check it out!

Wonder Girls – 2 Different Tears Live on Inkigayo

23 May

Out of all the music shows K-pop fans can watch, Inkigayo has always been my favourite. Perhaps because it’s the last one of the week (it’s shown on Sundays) or perhaps because I always think the stages are more dramatic which in turn means the performers give it an extra 10%. Wonder Girls’ performance of 2 Different Tears on Inkigayo did nothing to change my mind on which of the music shows is the best.

The audience was amazing and whilst their performance wasn’t as polished as much as other acts (SNSD and 2PM spring to mind in giving absolutely flawless live performances), the Girls really bring something different to the stage. They all have unique personalities and they perform as entertainers – not just singers or dancers. I think the Wonder Girls are something unique in the K-pop industry, a band that aren’t afraid to be themselves and collaborate with their management on their career. May the Wonder Girls forever be together~! hwaiting! Although I’m sad they won’t be performing this in Korea for much longer :(

SNSD – Oh! @ Inkigayo

9 Feb

Apologies for my absent postings as of late, with my new job, I’m always so busy ^_^ but I do miss blogging and the k-pop scene. Gotta keep up with it!

I’ve been listening to a bit of SNSD’s new album, and I quite like the single, Oh! Still can’t get over how similar it sounds to Rihanna though, but that’s old news. Check out their performance of Oh! on Inkigayo recently!

CN Blue – I’m a Loner @ Inkigayo

17 Jan

Of all the recent debuts by bands, CN Blue just might be my favourite. They offer something different and interesting to the K-pop world. There’s not a dance routine in sight! I love their style and sound that they’re going for. It’s nothing new musically, but it’s a nice change from the K-pop world at the moment (not that I’m complaining, I love me some K-pop).
