2PM – Heartbeat PV

25 Nov

Sooo, I don’t often post videos by acts that I don’t know too well, mostly because this blog reflects my tastes and who I really <3. If I had my way maybe I'd just post about T-ara and nothing else? Hehe ^^; T-ara fighting! Anywaaaaays O_o;; I wanted to post this music video because after learning a bit about 2PM and watching the meltdown that was Jaebeom's departure I decided to learn more about this band. And, I'm pleasantly surprised! Their new song starts out a little slow but by the end it's a great little pop song. Actually I kind of want to post it because of the dance! Hehe, it makes me giggle ^_^

Superfly – Dancing on the Fire PV

25 Nov

Superfly are a pretty cool band (or, well, were; it’s just the lead singer now). They make 60s inspired music and have this whole retro style that I think is a bit of fresh air from all the electro-pop and futuristic stylings that are so popular at the moment. Love the vocals of their new song, Dancing on the Fire. It’s not what I ewould have expected from them; it does sound a little electro-poppy… but it’s not too bad! Hah XD Love me some electro-pop-rock really. I can’t resist it. Hehe.

After School – Because of You

24 Nov

After School are back with a new single! Because of You is a very sweet, mid-tempo Winter ballad. Everyone releases Winter ballads this time of year, and I really like this one. It’s a bit more upbeat than most other ballads but that doesn’t mean it’s not as good. I think this will be a pretty big hit! It sounds a bit like 2NE1 mixed with SNSD or SeeYa.

Park Bom – You & I Live @ Mnet Asian Music Awards

21 Nov

Park Bom’s You & I is definitely my favourite solo single to come out of chez 2NE1. It’s a really great song that highlight’s Bunny Bom’s pretty awesome vocals and her sincerity. The lyrics are so sweet and the MV was also really sweet (tear ;_;); you’d get toothache from it! It’s surprising though, cause Park Bom also seems to be the most shy on stage, despite being the lead vocalist. So I’m proud of her to rock it like she does.

CL & Minzy – Please Don’t Go Live @ Mnet Asian Music Awards

21 Nov

I have to say that although out of all of the solo singles released by the 2NE1 girls this is my least favourite, CL and Minzy both give a great solo performance and really know how to bring energy to the stage. check out the performance, it’s pretty cool.

Sandara – Kiss Live @ Mnet Asian Music Awards

21 Nov

The girls of 2NE1 also performed their individual projects as well which was really great to see ^_^

2NE1 – I don’t care Live @ Mnet Asian Music Awards

21 Nov

2NE1 were definitely the darlings of the night as they won loads of awards. I’m not the biggest fan of 2NE1 but I do like some of their songs. I just prefer the style of other bands. But, I have come to appreciate how hard the girls work and that they are really talented. I don’t care is my favourite song of theirs though and I really enjoyed this performance.

Brown Eyed Girls & KARA – Mister & Abracadabra Live @ Mnet Asian Music Awards

21 Nov

Brown Eyed Girls and KARA, two of the biggest girl bands in k-pop at the moment, joined forces for a special medley of two of the biggest hits. Awesome ^_^ I’ve really enjoyed all the performances at MAMA; granted it’s sad that SM Entertainment boycotted them and we had no SNSD etc. but the artists that did give performances really did give it their all.

KARA & Dr. Core 911 – Honey Live @ Mnet Asian Music Awards

21 Nov

KARA were joined by rock band Dr. Core 911 for an edgy remix version of the hit song Honey. I <3 Honey. I can totally see how it knocked off SNSD's Gee off the charts. It's so catchy and cute. Check out the performance below; it's a rather pleasant surprise to see the KARA girls enjoying themselves so much, and rocking an edgier style.

Brown Eyed Girls – Sign Live @ Mnet Asian Music Awards

21 Nov

The Mnet Asian Music Awards saw many of my favourite k-pop artists take to the stage and do amazing performances. Sometimes I don’t like when artists change the songs they sing for stages, but when it’s done well, I think it can make the song sound totally different and gives you a whole new song to appreciate. Brown Eyed Girls gave an awesome performance of Sign in a really different style! Sign is working up to be one of my favourite k-pop songs of the year; it’s rather addictive!
