If you read this blog then you know I’m obssessed with T-ara. They are my favourite band and I love all their music. Soyeon is hwaiting! <3
The girls are finally back after a long hiatus! And they've also become a 7 member group with the inclusion of Hwayoung who looks very pretty! Boram is now also the leader. Let's hope she can focus on being a leader and not just eating all the time!
So, I’ve not actually started my new exercise regime just yet but it’s definitely in the pipeline. I was meant to start last week but I caught a virus and was at home resting for two days. It was not pretty. Since then, I’ve not really had the time to start but I did wear my new trainers for the first time on Saturday – they gave me a blister! I was not impressed! These teething problems are to be expected though.
I’m approaching this exercise stuff from an easy going point of view – I want to do it for fun, not as a complete lifestyle change. I like carbs far too much to give them up (especially cake, I can’t imagine a life without cake; sometimes I’ll just have cake for dinner). Part of my relaxed approach is to have a fun workout playlist to listen to. I spent some time the other day creating what I think will be the perfect playlist – and it’s all K-pop songs! Hurrah!
K-pop Workout Playlist:
1. SNSD – Run Devil Run*
2. T-ara – I Go Crazy Because of You
3. Park Bom – You and I
4. Chae Yeon – Shake
5. SNSD – Girls’ Generation
6. T-ara – Bo Peep Bo Peep
7. Wonder Girls – 2 Different Tears (Korean Version)
8. Sandara – Kiss
9. SNSD – Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)
10. IVY – Touch Me
11. T-ara & Supernova – TTL Listen 2
12. SNSD – Gee
* = power song
I think it’s a pretty good playlist for working out. It’s got a lot of fast paced songs with lots of thumping, hard beats to really encourage you to push that bit further! A couple of songs are a bit slower, but they have really strong choruses. Like Park Bom’s You & I is a slower, mid-tempo ballad but all the emotion is going to spurn me on! The power song, SNSD’s Run Devil Run, is the song I’m going to listen to to give me a bit of a boost! At the moment it’s first to place but we’ll see how it goes.
Hopefully I’ll get to go on a run soon and this playlist will help me concentrate and focus. Jia you!

Update:
I know I’ve not actually posted this post yet but I have gone on a run! I’ve gone on two with varying degrees of success. I’m not try to run too hard and stress myself out or injure myself so when I run I take a lot of breaks and walk a lot too. The first one I ran with my friend who runs often and is very health conscious and he gave me lots of tips. The second run was hampered by my agonising hay fever which meant I couldn’t breathe properly and everyone knows breathing properly is crucial when doing exercise. However, the playlist worked really well! I did have to chuckle to myself though – Run Devil Run whilst running? The irony is not lost on me. I’ve not yet had a chance to run again but I might try to go tonight! Jia you! Cheer me on ;_; It’s far too much hardwork!
Soyeon unni continues her solo promotions for the Death Bell 2 OST song, What Should We Finish. For the past couple of performances she was joined on stage by bandmate and star of Death Bell 2, Jiyeon (Jiyeon is so talented!) but she returns to performing it by herself for Inkiayo’s performance. I thought she did amazingly well! Her singing here is great compared to the other performances and they were pretty awesome to begin with! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, all the idols seem to bring their A game when they perform on Inkigayo!
Oh Soyeon, how I love thee. My favourite member of T-ara continues to perform her solo OST for the much anticipated horror sequeal, Death Bell 2. Soyeon is definitely my favourite member of T-ara and also my favourite Korean singer. She has had such an interesting journey in the K-pop entertainment industry. From ex-SNSD trainee to T-ara lead vocalist and now to solo singer. Soyeon has always been my favourite from T-ara and ever since their debut, I’ve followed their career with feverent fanaticism. I think it’s being British, and that we like an underdog who works hard to achieve. T-ara had to struggle a long time to achieve popularity. And now Soyeon is hopefully getting recognition for her amazing vocal skills and talent. She has an amazing voice and I’m glad she’s getting to perform on live stages by herself. Not that I dislike the other members of T-ara, Eunjung and Hyomin are my other favourites, but Soyeon is <3
My favourite T-ara member, and thus, favourite Korean singer, Soyeon performed on M! Countdown solo! I didn’t even know she was releasing a song solo! She’s not technically because it is part of the OST for Death Bell 2 but who knows! It’s the lead single which is great for Soyeon! When T-ara hit it big with TTL and TTL (Listen 2), she was the lead vocalist. But when they released their debut album and the re-release I was very disappointed because Soyeon didn’t have such a big role in the songs. Obviously all members of a band have to sing but I thought it was disappointing because Soyeon has such an amazing voice.
Thus! I am thrilled that she is having a song all to her own and people can see just how talented she is. I think some people don’t like her because she quit SNSD, because she seems very mature at times and serious (compared to Eunjung who is very plafyul) but Soyeon is awesome! I definitely think she is one of the best singers in K-pop at the moment. Soyeon hwaiting~!
So! T-ara are releasing a World Cup song! Woo! Congratulations to the girls! I know a lot of K-pop artists release support songs but to be chosen is still undoubtedly a great honour. They must be very proud ^_^ For this release, the girls are sporting red and white cheer leading outfits. What with SNSD’s Samsung Cooky CF and Kara’s World Cup song, the ladies of the K-pop world have gone cheer leader crazy!
However, sadly for T-ara, I’m not overly impressed with the song ;_; I’m actually quite disappointed… Ole ole ole le le le isn’t the most original of melodies – especially for someone living in England. However, I am really happy for the girls ^_^ Not too sure about the face painting though – but bless them! Check out the MV teaser and making of below~ Also check out Boram’s hair! I quite like it!
Awww, look at the cute girls of T-ara singing a new CF song, Bubi Bubi. The video is like a compilation video of various different MVs and behind the scenes footage – it’s quite sweet actually. <3 Soyeon and Eunjung ^_^
T-ara go from strength to strength, knocking off Kara in the process. Kara have held the top M! Countdown position for two consecutive weeks until today. The T-ara girls amazingly beat the Kara girls by only 1 point! I’m not sure if there’s ever been a closer victory (of course unless they were exactly equal, in which case that’s closer by about 100%). I’m so proud of the girls. They seem to be no one’s favourite but they keep trying. They’re my favourite band though, so I can never be proud enough of them :)
T-ara are back with a new concept and 3 new MVs! Yes! 3! I don’t know why they do it, maybe they just like making them. I love this song. It’s my favourite out of their 2 new songs (the other being I Go Crazy Because of You). It’s a little slower, a little less dancey but I really like it. Sometimes I prefer slower songs, you know? They’ve also changed their concept to something more tomboyish – they look a little like After School did in their Because of You promotions. Check out the three videos below:
My favourite girl group ever (maybe favourite band…?) are back with a new single! It’s for their repacked debut album, now entitled Breaking Heart :) It’s so cool! It’s very similar to a Britney Spears song, but that shouldn’t turn you off, too much… All the girls look great, with their new sexy concept, I’m proud that the girls can pul off so many different concepts. It shows real versatility :) How great does Eunjung and Boram look? Boram looks totally different! I didn’t even recognise her. She sings quite well too. Sadly, Soyeon isn’t in that much :( at least singing-wise and she’s got a great voice. Anyways, check out the video! It’s so good :)
